    Who knows who handled the coin or where it was before it got to that guy. Might have been the oil in someones hands ruining the finish, been put in a pocket and rubbed up against something, may it was taken out and looked at over the years and got roughed around a bit. All I know is it came out fresh from a Chicago area bank over 100 years ago and probably into the tellers pocket.
