When is one notified if there is an up charge?

Value Modern entered this past January just went into Assembly. If an up charge, is one notified during Grading or QA1? Thanx.

I believe it’s QA2. Other members have stated you’ll get an email with a header like “problem with your order.” It’ll have an attachment. The attachment will show you the grade of whatever card it is, with the upcharge amount. You reply with approval or denial for up charges I believe.

I've been submitting to PSA for over a decade and I've yet to get one of those emails.

Mine was addressed from PSA Problem Orders, and all I did was ok the extra charged and hit "reply" and all was well. Most of my upcharges were $20 each, some were $50.

QA2. My emails have not been delivered as a 'problem order'. They state there is an upcharge and no authorization required. I always apply with "please proceed" regardless. :)

    Thanks,
