09SVDB More bad pictures, but based on one aspect in the designers initials "Help To Report It"

The pictures are bad, but I'm looking at the center cross bar in the "B" in the designers initials, its pretty clear, and to me its not slanted?
What else can you tell about this coin?
It was pointed out that the number 1 in the date has a serif.

with that date, i can't call it authentic.
B crossbar looks pretty straight like you say. Can you see the N in UNITED any better in the picture?

The Deep Cut N (picture on the right) in UNITED does not appear on a real 1909 S VDB.

ask for better pictures of the Date/mm and the VDB
Look at the letter spacing on the reverse in America, notice the spread in Ame vs the how crowded eric is, plus the overall look of the fonts.
I'm leaning towards a Phony.

It does look to have a serif on it, the loops of the 9's look a little to closed too.
Its amazing to think that there is that many fakes of just this one coin out there!
Its untold how many Lincoln collections that's been put away for years that has a Phony 09SVDB in them

Yes, quite a few times and ebay has done nothing t to the seller.
His 1878 S & 1886 S look questionable too but he is hiding them with bad photos.
I'm working on getting my brain wrapped around this deep cut/shallow cut "N"

It took me awhile to figure out what they were talking about also - but once you see it it's pretty obvious.
It's from "Crotch" to "Crotch" on the N in UNITED - the "close" one is a true S VDB, the "far" one is the other 1909's. I guess there could be exceptions if dies were interchanged but I haven't seen any examples as yet.

No die chip, no real.
Let me ask you this, its known that the San Francisco Mint used 4 different obverse die sets in minting the 09SVDB leaving the Mint Mark in 4 different locations, so, is that die chip present in all 4 die sets?
(its my understanding that its not, but I'm still learning the different phony die markers)
