Update on my call to the mint a month ago or my orders canceled.

I had two orders for ASE W proof. One for 25 then another for 10 more. The orders were processing. I had to call for both orders, told CC resubmitted but had to be same card, ok with me. One was straight to CC the other through PayPal. Shortly after both went back to backorder.
Now today update. This morning I check my CC which I usually do each morning and I have a new pending charge from the mint for $730. I don’t even remember yet what this is for, have I been hacked ? I go into my mint order history to find both these orders for ASE W proofs are now back to processing. So I check the other CC that is hooked to PayPal and no pending charge for the 25 like the pending charge for 10. So I check PayPal and nothing. I go back into my mint order history and look at the 10 order that goes directly to my CC everything looks good my CC information right there on the order. I check my 25 order through PayPal and payment info is BLANK. It use to say PayPal but is now blank but does say pending. From what I have read here orders with blank payment methods get scraped and that’s what I am expecting. I have always been concerned about all these backorders well beyond valid authorizations. Now I am wondering if I’m seeing the future. Orders straight to CC go through those through PayPal do not.

My Carson city order doesn’t have payment info filled in. The mint told me they are going to confirm by email, issues with payment info. I think they might be fibbing. So we’ll wait together. Dang!

It's not so much "fibbing". Their CS reps are notoriously prone to inaccuracies.

It's almost October. I look forward to the chaos likely to ensue. LOL

Just called the mint. Was told authorization hold. I said it was a perfectly good authorization until you guys let it expire and that was suppose to be cleared up with the call I made last month. Not sure how much of that she heard because she hung up. Don’t even tell me it was a coincidental disconnect during an ear beating (but a calm ear beating). So all you guys that think no worries my payment information is missing but the minimum wage teen age CS told me it’s OK May want to worry. For me I’m not calling back I know how this story ends. From now on no more locking in pre sales for me. 10/12 years ago I watched these guys selling before they got their coins and I always waited until at least the order was shipped if not waiting until order in hand. Somewhere along the line I got complacent and fell in the trap. I won’t sell my current 2 coin set until it’s in my grubby chubby hands. That was my only order through PayPal 5 others are straight to my CC hope that is enough.

Contacted the mint again she couldn’t get the payment through I knew that already. The mint will not accept another payment must be original payment. I called PayPal and there is no way they can run an expired authorization again. They said just send the mint a new payment. The mint won’t accept a new payment. From my information ANY mint purchase through PayPal that is not processed within 30 days (the length of time PayPal keeps an authorization valid) is going to be cancelled. My other order just as old but directly to my Visa card went through today and has been shipped. Maybe that’s why the mint doesn’t accept PayPal on the original day of sale. That was my only PayPal all the rest are the visa that worked today doesn’t seem like it matters how long it’s been. If anyone gets a payment to go through with PayPal over 30 days old let us know.
