What was your best year of adding new coins and worst year for example. Are things really slow now?

Journey is slowing …tough to find rare dates that I want in my collection but I’m picking around.

Started buying these as type coins early 2000.

Saw a dramatic rise 2010 -2013 when the Chinese coin collector started buying .

The market in these tanked late 2013 or so and stayed that way until summer of 2019 when the Chinese started buying again.

You could buy common date MS 65 all day long $500-$600 .

I said to myself I would start focusing on this series sometime in late 2016 and really ramped up in 2018 and 2019 hoping the Chinese coin collector would come back to buying again .

I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

It seems like many 8 reales are in a upswing now hopefully they stabilize at prices that are affordable to us all.

So you are saying that in 21 years there are still some rare coins that never entered the market?

    I did not say that.

But yes I think there are still coins out there that have been off the market for 21 years or more

21 years is not that long of time for a coin collector/ collection .

Sorry my mistake I should have phrased it differently. I am only 40 years old so 21 years seems like a lot but now see patience is key and the hunt is a large part of the fun when dealing with Mexican coins and those of South America. Your story gives me hope to just take it easy and enjoy the time ahead and that not all can be owned.

Do you have any images of your whole collections together that would not mind sharing with us as eye candy? I would say you are doing very well since I think you own over 400 coins. That is truly remarkable.
