43 Yesterday

Submitted SIX raw Mercury Dimes Economy and Variety Attribution at Summer FUN on July 8, 2021. They were entered into the PCGS system on July 15, 2021. Not including July 15, 2021, yesterday was business day 43 and I received the grade results but am still waiting for the True Views. The coins were shipped from PCGS yesterday and according to tracking, I should get them on Saturday.

44 Today

Submitted SIX raw PROOF coins (1953, 1957, 1964) Economy at Summer FUN on July 8, 2021. They were entered into the PCGS system on July 15, 2021. Not including July 15, 2021, today was business day 44 and I received the grade results but am still waiting for the True Views. The coins were shipped from PCGS today and I might get them on Monday.

Also Submitted TWO PCGS coins Regular for regrade and then to get Variety Attribution at Summer FUN on July 8, 2021. They were entered into the PCGS system on July 15, 2021. Not including July 15, 2021, today was business day 44 and I received the grade results about 10+ days ago. PCGS failed to properly attribute the coins, I complained, provided die marker information, pointed them towards existing PCGS Attributed and True Viewed examples. They sent the coins back through variety attribution but I do not know if they provided my evidence to the variety attribution personnel or not. The variety department again failed to attribute the coins properly and it seems PCGS shipped them out to me today, even after I suggested they not ship the coins and they should escalate the issue. For this one submission, there were probably about a dozen phone calls or emails back and forth over two weeks and it is still an expensive failure.

More details in a future variety attribution "difficulty" thread. This thread is just to inform on the time line experience for these three submissions.

It's slow all over. I sent a box ATS. It arrived on July 23rd. It just got entered into the system today.

I actually sent a couple gold coins express earlier in the year. It took them 60 days to enter into the system after receipt at their warehouse.

I had to laugh that it cost me $90 for each of the 2 coins to get that super fast service.

    I've learned to be patient.

I had 3 submissions to PCGS. Finally got the one I turned in at the Las Vegas Members Only show. I was beginning to wonder if PCGS was still in business.

Variety attributions do not seem to be their strong point, which is shocking considering you are literally required to attribute the item yourself and tell them your findings on the submission form!
    Good luck

If they can’t meet their commitment on express service, they shouldn’t take your money for it. IMO, they should only charge you for the standard service if that is what they are providing. Who in the hell would consider 60 days an express service?

Do you have pics of the coins? I'm curious as to what varieties they are.

Well, it was one of those cases where the nature of the coins precluded a lower level of service. But, yeah, it would have been nice if they had sent a T shirt or something. Lol

It is the way you can fudge your service tier. They graded them in 7 days AFTER they entered them in the system. But it took 2 months to enter them in the system.

I even had EXPRESS written in the package.

As I say, I've just learned to be patient.
