It dawned on me that at least 2 active players, Albert Pujols and Tom Brady were also on an active roster 9-11-2001.

can you think of any others?

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

NHL has a few. Zdeno Chara's rookie season was 1997-98.

Oldest NBA, I believe, is Haslem who started in 03.

Edited to add: when I think of the four major US sports, and older players, NHL would definitely be my first thought.

For sure. Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau played in the late 90's. Pekka Renne and Hendrick Lundqvist were on as well before 9/11/2001 I'm pretty sure

I thought of Haslem as well. It’s odd when you hear announcers talk about how long he’s been in the league you’d think he’d have been around since the mid 90’s lol. I could be wrong but I think Vince Carter was the most recent NBA player to have played in the 90’s.
