1837 $2.50 (Classic Head) NGC MS60 CAC

I want to sell this coin. Any interest? If so, I'll post pix this weekend. None available on the NGC site, and the coin has never been in an auction. I paid $5700 (over market at the time, but it's in an older holder (cert. 275893-012), and has a low pop in this grade and higher). In my humble opinion, the coin would grade MS61 today, and get CAC approved.

Picture is worth a thousand words... probably much more.

  • Thanks. That's good advice. I'll post pix ASAP, and list some of the major dealers with whom I've done business.

    Pictures?

  • Photos are not downloading to this listing. Email me for them: danmkirwan@aol.com

As to dealers with whom I've done business in the past 20 years, they include Heritage, Stacks, David Lawrence, RARCOA, Reeded Edge, NFC, Park Avenue Numismatics, Pinnacle Rarities, Coin & Bullion Reserves, Rare Coin Wholesalers, Great Collections, AU Capital Management, Harry Laibstain Rare Coins, and several others whose names elude me the moment.

Too much work for me...note that your headline says that the coin has a CAC sticker when it doesn't...makes me wonder what else isn't true...if you really want to sell I'd suggest Great Collections...sounds like you already know them...good luck!

Yea, I am confused? Are you saying it currently has a green bean, or you anticipate it will sticker if submitted?
