Take a look at the 6, and the L. To me it looks like the die came in at an angle and struck the planchet, then stood up and finished the strike. I don't know jack about doubled dies. What's your opinion, could it be possible. Any feed back appreciated.

I'm gonna say those are the results of die deterioration. You can also see how the letters and date have some "doubling" as the metal flow is showing migration towards the rims.

Ok, like I said I don't know jack, but what would cause the inside of the 6 and the L to be raised.
Take a closer look - are you sure those lines on the 6 & L aren't slightly incuse?

When I look at the 6 the end of the loop that is where the inside 6 attaches to the outer 6. So I was thinking it was raised.
