specific example of large disparity between registries

Wow, I found this to be rather surprising. Two collections both registered with PCGS and NGC. The results are far different.
On PCGS, Air Morgan and GC's DMPL SET are both registered in the pl morgan category. Both collections are 56% complete, and for the most part the collections are missing the same coins. Air Morgans scores slightly higher at 27.10, versus 26.86 for GC's DMPL SET.
On NGC, the same two collections are both registered in the pl/dpl morgan category. The collections are very similar to what is registered over at PCGS, although on NGC, GC comes in at #1 with a 80-100% rating, while Air Morgan comes in a distant #2 with 40-60%.
Not sure what to conclude from this, except somehow the two registries on very similar collections come out markedly different. (there is no emotion for shoulder shrug, image)

After looking again at the two registries, it looks like GC's NGC set has two NGC coins, but GC already had those same coins in the PCGS registry, so essentially GC's collections is the same on the two registries. By comparison, I have 19 NGC coins listed, some upgrades of PCGS coins, but others where I have no PCGS counterpart. In short, I would think my NGC coins would make my collection much better than if just the PCGS coins were considered, but by NGC registry standards the collection compared to that of GC fares far worse. image

Interesting. When I compared the Concord Collection and Linda's Daddy Collections between the NGC Registry and the PCGS Registry there was very little difference. Their relative set rating dropped since on NGC my set is the benchmark, but the difference between the sets was almost exactly the same!

Don't know why there is such a disparity with your set!

Do I Dare Reply To This ??
To Figure The NGC Rank just add the Arbitrary Dollar Amounts that the Coins Cost and You Will Get the Set Ranking. One of these Days , as NGC sort of has promised , We will Actually Know How they Figure the Rankings.image
