SGC GM 10 v. PSA 10 Centering Standards

I am not at all impressed with the centering of this recently graded '83 OPC Ryan SGC GM 10, especially the tilt. Per SGC's website, their centering standard for GM 10 is 55/45 or better, which is slightly stricter than PSA's 55/45 to 60/40 standard. Even with PSA's more lenient standard, I do not believe that this card would achieve PSA 10. I have cards that are ready to be submitted for grading but based upon this example I will be waiting for PSA's pricing to come down before submitting them.

The l-r looks close, but the t-b isn’t even close to 10 standards.

If you were concerned, why send it for grading? You had the card raw and must have seen that the centering wasn't 50/50. T/B actually measures 56/43 according to the Sportscardpro.com centering tool.

My recent experience has been the opposite - SGC cards which appear to be graded more strictly than PSA. I don’t think any card should get a grade 10 that isn’t perfectly centered, no exceptions.

This isn't my card. It's a listing I saw on ebay today that I was surprised to see in an SGC Gem Mint holder.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Thanks for the clarification!
