Updated Market Pricing based on auction results

In the last 2 years we are witnessing higher prices being paid across the board for coins sold at auctions here and abroad. At what point does Numismaster get updated? I do like PCGS's auction records recording the auction results in many cases, although not every house is participating. Besides checking ebay results, or using coinarchives pro (at $600 per year) to view history, what other tools do you use?

Ha! Do they still employ anyone?

The coins I collect sell so infrequently, I don't care what any price reference claims it's worth.

I'm forced to estimate what I think I should pay. It's an art, not a science.
