OK here is an interesting 1977FM 20 Balboa that I recently purchased raw taking a gamble on the ebay pictures.
What do you think, Matte (M) or Prooflike (U)?

    I think (M) matte. (U) are reflective and shiny as hell. I have a hard time imagining a U looking like yours after toning. Krause doesn't have a matte version listed, so I don't know.

    I will try to post pictures in a couple of hours TWO matte 1975s and two matte 1976s for a comparo.

    Here goes some 75 and 76 mattes and a most definite 77 PL (one caveat is that these are all pictured in holders and that makes it a little harder to compare & obverses only shown although I can post reverses):
