Old Gold! Very nice Classic $5 PCGS VF30 CAC - SOLD

All of the earlier gold series have been increasing in price steadily in recent months. I have an 1834 Plain 4 Classic $5 coin that's now an extra for me since I just bought an AU55. The coin is a top-end PCGS VF30 with the green CAC sticker. The PCGS price guide went to $850 recently. Really nice examples don't appear often at a reasonable price, especially with CAC approval; and most early gold I've seen recently sells at above price guide values, often significantly above. I'll price this one at $775 shipped via priority mail. PM me if interested. PCGS cert. number on request via PM. Check or money order is OK, I don't use Paypal.

    Agreed! What a perfect coin for a type collector getting started with gold.
