Anyone have experience with print lines

I have a beautiful 2020 Jayson Tatum gold unstoppable. The card is minty except for a print line. I am thinking I will be selling raw on feebay because I don’t know what to expect on grading. Anyone with true experience with these I would appreciate your input. Thanks here it is:

unless its a variation or numbered card, i wouldnt really sub a card w print lines on the front. my experience is that they are definitely grading harder on print lines on the back. cards that were normally getting 10s are now coming back 9s and sometimes even 8s simply because of the print lines on the back. so any significant print lines on the front wouldnt stand a chance for a gem. especially right now.

this a gold checkered /10? considering it wouldnt easy 10, imo, i wouldnt pay the $200 rate or even wait until the $100 level opens up. if you dont plan on keeping, id just let it fly on a 99 cent auction and provide very detailed pics and an honest description.

also, ive never taken them up on it but panini does have a “quality control replacement program”. if time isnt of the essence , you might consider that route. this definitely seems to fit their definition of being able to create a ticket. link provided:

  • Yes, sell it raw and explain it. You don't need negative feedback because you didn't mention it. Here's another thing.... Last yrs prizm and selects have quality control issues with lines. I've seen a ton on this yrs football and basketball. Awesome cards until you look closer. And also centering is a problem. It's ridiculous how bad it's getting

could go either way. seen plenty of 10's on cards with obvious print lines. usually these checkerboard (Panini) or x-fractor (Topps) patterns are well known for them depending where the edge of the pattern sheets landed on the cards (from what I assume is happening). I think they are usually looked past for the most part. theres a bunch of threads on blowout discussing this and I believe the majority agree a card could still gem with print lines.

im sure most of those threads are older. most would agree grading standards have become more stringent. obviously could still 10. chances are pretty slim, imo. id put the over under on it at 3.5.
