Just picked this up at the estate sale of the artist, James "Gordy" Gordon, and thought I'd share. Any Hawaii note collectors out there?

Interesting.
Actually, a Fr.2300 is a Silver Certificate and features the large “HAWAII” on the back in black ink. I’m guessing that’s where he got the idea.
That was my first reaction, too- that overprint should be on back....and it's on the wrong note.
Ours brains are trained to see this as a collectible first and art second. Most people see the art first.
Fantasy piece? Anyway, I generally pick up any numismatic-related art at these sales.
