Just in case anyone else here wants to go to a show

I am doing a small one in Texarkana this Saturday. Not sure if that is driving distance for anyone else here but why not give the opportunity

For anyone too young to have seen him, Billy Sims was a star. Absent injuries, he'd have been the third of the Roaring 20s in Canton.

Loved watching Billy in the early 80's for the Lions. He was awesome.

    Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!

He was not free, but not much if I remember correctly. There was another flyer with a price if I recall correctly

That one in Tamps seems to be a little expensive. Is that a normal cost to be a seller at a show? I assumed it would’ve been cheaper. If anyone ends up going, let us know how it goes.

The show was a major let down. I lucked out because I was able to pick up some stuff I needed. Only problem is I want to grade some of it. Well as long as I can make it to 2025 I should have my pickups slabbed by then.

Tables for the Tampa show do look to be on the high side. It isn't the National by any means, so I am not sure what to make of it. The "team" on the website gave me a laugh, especially the handlebar moustache. I can never take someone seriously when I see such!

FYI I am not a part of this show in anyway, just happy to take my son to a cool event. Hoping to see some quality vintage.

Man, it would be awesome to get meet Billy Sims and get his autograph. I'm a lifelong Lions fan, loved watching him play.

The show was a dud, but it was so slow I walked up to Billy and talked to him for a bit. I already had his 81 Topps RC signed and happened to have it with me. I showed it to him and he said that is back when he had a concussion proof hairdo. He also said the biggest honor he had was Barry Sanders getting his number 20. He went on about him for a bit and said if he could have stayed healthy he could have been the 3rd Lion wearing 20 in the HOF. (I completely agree)

I met Sims at a card show in Mass last month. He was very outgoing and humble, truly a terrific conversation. I had him sign his 81 RC that day too, but I haven’t gotten around to scanning it yet.
