FS: Something missing (and needed) in every Numismatic Library. Vinyl media. All offers considered.
PLEASE READ ALL TEXT CAREFULLY:
It's hard to let these go, but it's time to let someone else enjoy having them in their collection.
I have two 33 1/3 RPM Vinyl recordings made in the mid-1960’s. I won both these in literature auctions between Dec. 1992 and march 1993. While I don’t often peruse literature auctions on a regular basis, I have never seen any more of them offered for sale or auction.
These would be GREAT addition to a Jefferson Nickel collection, or a Kennedy Half collection. They would also be great for any Numismatic Library, no matter how advanced.
I have taken particular care of these historical recordings in the almost 30 years they have been in my possession. They aren’t MS70’s, but they would easily grade somewhere between AU58-MS66. You won’t be disappointed in them.
They will play. I have played them only once each. That was to record them and place them on a CD. I will include a CD with each record so you won’t have to actually play the vinyl unless you just want to. If you would prefer they be sent to you on a Thumb Drive, Memory Card, or some other kind of medium, we will work it out for as little as possible or no extra cost to you.
I’m asking $175 each or $315 for both. Payment to be made by PayPay F&F, Check, Postal MO. Please add $15.50 for mailing in a Medium Flat Rate Box. I prefer to sell them together, but if you only want one, let me know and you will be 1st in line to get it if they don’t sell as a pair after 5 to 7 days. Or if someone steps up and wants the other one, them they’d be split up immediately and mailed out separately.
The first item is an Advanced Pressing of Felix Schlag telling the story of the creation of the Jefferson Nickel in his own words. (Read the back cover).
The second item is also an Advanced Pressing of Gilroy Roberts reminiscing about the creation of the Kennedy Half Dollar.

Don't mean to be funny but does it come with one of these? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Actually, there are probably some member here that might say: What's that??
I actually thought of that when I was listing it. Vinyl is making a comeback.
Yes, that's true. Vinyl is making a comeback.
What's that??🤔😉 Does it play cds? Lol
Hell, CD's are disappearing too. The last car I bought didn't have a CD player. I found out after spending 5 minutes looking where to insert the CD.
Yeah its pretty much an extinct option on cars.
Y'all are a rough crowd. I have a cassette tape player in my vehicle. Yeah, it does CD's too, but this is the first vehicle I've had that has a CD player.
No, no MP-3 / Aux input (unless I hit Ebay and find one of those OLD cassette adapters) . . . . . .
I miss the 8-track player in my last car . . . . . .
No, I'm not joking . . . . . . .

Oh good - I miss the pops, clicks, and the occasional skipping!

The good-old-days.
But seriously - about the records - I never saw or even knew those existed. Maybe great in a coin display presentation or even a museum depending on how many still exist after all of these years!

I'm sure there has to be more out there, but since 1992/93 when I bought these, I've never seen another of either. I hate to see them go but I'm at the age I have to pass some thing along. If no one buys them I won't be upset at all.
