A Vestner Medal

Speaking of auctions, I lucked out here. I take notice of medals by the Vestners; very stately. This one, I was tempted to bid on, but ended not doing so, a bit intimidated by the estimate. To my surprise (but maybe not, since I have no qualms about misused numismatica if it fits my needs), the item remained unsold and I picked it up for the reserve. A very good value, in my opinion. Such a nice medal, so well executed, that I will post large images.
