Cobb /Edwards T206 Wagner

Just noticed this Treasure Detectives video:

Not much of a back story to the acquisition. Just curious as to if anyone ever delved into the origins of the card, prior to Cobb's estate sale purchase, there being so many still unanswered questions.

the wagner is a fake obviously but remembering the original story that was on OTL years ago it’s funny… they have thousands of Pokémon cards in the video that are probably worth a fortune now!

Obvious fake. How they got so much mileage out of a spliced/hybrid card, a lightly back sanded 1985 Hygrade Sports card company Baseball Legends Wagner reprint front O-glued onto a vintage Piedmont common with the top two paper layers of the common (the face) SANDED (not peeled) down is a testimony to their perseverance.

Sometimes I even amaze myself at how I know these things. It's a blessing o:) and a curse! >:)

Was it ever mentioned where these two lived prior to 1994, the first online record of their dwelling in Cincy? Like the card, they seem to have popped up suddenly in Cincy (even though the card was born about 490 miles East of Cincy. I wonder if either were originally from the east coast. The entire story, start to finish is riddled with inconsistencies (just like the hybrid card).
