PSA "Auction Prices Realized" Database

I just looked up the approximately 10 PSA graded cards I purchased on ebay this year and only one of them is reflected in this database so far. Then I looked up a card that is presently listed on ebay by probstein123 (1980 OPC Pete Rose PSA 10) and found that the identical card is reflected with a sale date of 7/23/21; I assume that it has been relisted since the buyer backed out. How can an ebay sale that took place less than two weeks ago be reflected when my ebay purchases from months ago are not? Does anyone know why the timeliness of sales reflected in this database is so inconsistent?

Probably has to do with the way they were listed. Post a listing.

I’ve noticed a lot of straight buy it nows from the last year are missing from the database. I distinctly remember right after Aaron passed away a bunch of high buy it nows were taken on cards that were up, and I can’t see any of them in the PSA tool. I just looked up several high profile cards and none of them have a straight buy it now sale listed since August, 2020.

  • All but one of my purchases were Buy It Now listings. The one that was an auction isn't referenced and the one that is referenced was a Buy It Now listing so there's no logical pattern. It seems odd that the type of listing would affect whether or not a sale is referenced or how quickly it is referenced.
