Buying Wood Coin Tray

Hey all,

This is a bit more of a random ask, but I'm looking for wooden coin sorting trays, of the type that bank tellers in the 19th century would've carried from the vault each day. Ones used for horizontally sorting coins and making them easy to count visually. Here's an example: https://pinterest.com/pin/121878733636520119

If anyone has trays like these, I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks!

Like this? I think it is for the $5 Half Eagle. I don't have one to place in the tray, but the measurement and the "5.00" label on one end make me think so. The "crack" on the end slot I believe is supposed to be there. Exactly why? I don't know. Can anyone enlighten me? It's too perfect to be broken. Stamped into the side: "PAT APPLD FOR". Great overall patina.

  • Hey that's really nice! The only rub is I need ones that accommodate larger silver coins like halves and dollars. They are intended as props for a filmed recreation of a 19th century bank.

But yes, trays like these are exactly what I'm after.
