Counterfeit 1886 Liberty Nickel in the latest Coin World "Detecting Counterfeits" section

1886 Liberty Head 5-cent coin has the wrong style of numeral 1 in the date.

The article then goes through some value information and then discusses the coin.

No where does it mention the reverse is all wrong for the date. In fact it is all wrong for all dates, sort of a hybrid between the two reverse types which changed in the 1901/1902 years coins. While most of these counterfeits just look wrong all around, I do look at the reverse first to see if it has a "somewhat" correct reverse type for the year.

Now if I can just get PCGS to start denoting this reverse change in the 1901 and 1902 dates. (Although NGC told me years ago it would need to be in the cherry pickers guide before they would, they did start denoting the two reverses a few years ago.)
