Capped Bust Half Dollars for Sale

For sale is an 1839 O/O Capped Bust Half Dollar. The O/O variety is listed at PCGS as 1839-O 50C GR-1 RPM (Regular Strike). It has been taken to two separate coin dealers (A Coin Connection and Coin Exchange) and both said it has not been cleaned. One gave it a designation of AU58, the other AU 55 (because the color is not super lustrous). Heritage sold an AU 58 in February 2021 for $5,536.00 and an AU 55 back in 2015 for $4113.00. Make a reasonable offer and this hard to find even in crappy condition coin can complete your collection.

For sale is an 1810 Capped Bust Half Dollar O-102(a) late die stage. (It is the version that has a weak strike on the obv. and rev.). It has been confirmed by three coin dealers not to be cleaned. All three have given it an AU55 grade. Feel free to make an offer.

Both look cleaned....no one on this forum is paying nearly $4000 for an uncertified coin with claims that many dealers thought it was AU55/58 when there are obvious digs/scratches and cleaning.

I would recommend you sell the 1810 to one of the dealers who believe this coin to be uncleaned and graded it AU55.
