An Identification/Attribution Challenge

Well it’s a challenge for me anyway, hopefully not so hard for someone out there. I lost the 2x2 insert I created when I got this, when I actually knew things about the piece — now it’s an objet trouvé.
Aside from the pictures I can tell you it’s diameter is 38mm and weighs in at 18.8g. Otherwise it is my uncertain memory that it is possibly from the Ottoman Empire and MIGHT be a 2 Zolota coin.
Anything you can add by way of information — issuer, denomination, date — is very greatly appreciated. And yes, the edge does show some damage (from the mint press?). Still a nice enough hunk of silver.

Don't have my references handy, but I can tell you the accession date on the coin is 1115 Islamic era, converting to AD 1703/4. Which would in turn indicate the coin is from the reign of Ahmed III. Not entirely sure where the actual year of issue is hiding, but Ahmed III reigned until 1730.

I think it is closer to the Zolota (KM-156) judging from design.
Agreed. Also by weight and diameter. I think it’s a Zalota as well, KM 156. Good sleuthing!
