Are these Forever Stamps Forgeries

An acquaintance of mine purchased a roll of 100 Forever stamps over the internet. They paid $28 for the roll.

Photos of what they received are attached.

It sounds almost too good to me.

Just by looking at the photos, is there any sign that these could be counterfeits.

They were shipped from City of Industry, California.

Thanks for any help!

Big discounts on forever stamps are usually a red flag. If you poke around on the internet there are sites or articles that show the differences on some issues.

A roll of stamps with a current use value of $55 for $28? Why would Forever stamps be sold that cheap? Did someone buy out or inherit a large hoard they can't possibly use up? Try to find a close up photo of the same type coil for comparison.

    All glory is fleeting.
