Looks quite different than most on ebay right now. The "J" in "Joe" looks wrong, top loop too big, bottom too small.

The problem is guys don't always sign exactly the same.

Harmon Killebrew's auto went through a couple of different changes.

Dimaggio and Mantle used to be the 2 most forged autographs. They are also the easiest for DNA to spot fakes due to vast experience. Send it in on their next 50% off sale (they had one in June as I recall) it will cost you $37.50 to find out.

Funny you should say that. This is what I held back on the same ball. As a side note, the J is also what I don’t like most about the DiMaggio sig. I’ve already written this ball off as likely not authentic, but wanted some extra eyes on it.

Could also do a PSA quick opinion if you don't own it yet. Could be money well spent.

That Mantle is, IMHO, bad also.

Frankly, I wouldn't waste my time or money sending it in.

I agree. Though parts of the Joey D look kinda', sorta' OK, the Mantle is drawn, not freely written with the kind of authority and flow one would expect from someone signing his name for the 100,000th time. It's shaky, unsure, and rendered with hesitation. If one is demonstrably bad, chances favor the Joey D. being faux as well.

    Funny Joe

A while back a friend got an Eddie Mathews signed baseball for me at a local show.
His "bottle" was visible and under the table. He was smashed.
His signature was running from sweet spot to off the ball.
