No, my whole order did not consist of all top pops, but all these did. This is easily the most top pops I've ever received on one order.

This is a great set, and a six is amazing!

Regarding the Mattingly Repli-Cards, is what the insert says really true? I mean the rookie card "craze" was already in pretty full swing by 1983, and the Strawberry and Kittle in the Traded set were huge. Mattingly wasn't even a Rated Rookie in 1984. Was he really a top prospect back then? I, like everyone, remember how huge he became in 1984, but I don't remember hearing his name before then.

Wow, it is incredible that you were able to find a 1972 Venezuelan League Sticker that could get a PSA 6, congrats! That is a very tough set to find higher than a 3.

I was jsut going to write that!! Being a Dodger spring training rat in the late 80's which caused an infatuation with all things dodgers makes me think I would have known about that card. Totally awesome

I love so many items in your post that I can’t narrow it down! I love all things Venezuelan and the Penn Emblem is special. My PSA 9 Yaz from that set is one of my favorite items, but honestly the Garvey is a more attractive patch. Major kudos all around!

    Love the oddball pre-rookie stuff!

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I guess they left out the space between his first name and middle initial.

Oh yes, Garvey is still my main collecting focus, but the ones I'm selling are duplicates.

Great to hear! I am always saddened when a passionate player collector gives up on that project. Glad that’s not the case!
