New Registry? Message boards?

These message boards are stuck in the early 2000s when it comes to technology. The Registry is outdated and dominated by collectors that have immense wealth, taking away from the fun. I think the new private owners will eventually phase out the message boards as they modernize the online collecting experience.

Did you mean to post this on the NGC boards?

CopperWire,
I am intrigued by your comments. They suggest how numismatics may continue to thrive for generations to come. We need to invite these views and discussions.
Just my two cents.

HAPPY 4th!!
Is anyone else having login issues with some of the PCGS Android apps?
More specifically the set registry app and the my account app?
Have a great day all!!
Actually I like wealthy collectors because they can buy coins I would otherwise never know about are see. And the fact that they are share it here well, Just saying.

and they are willing to pay generously for the occasional nice coin I might find.
I don’t think the whales are ruining the registry. I think PCGS did a wise thing by creating some variants for “every man” and circulated only sets. Myself, I use the registry to be my virtual coin album. Doesn’t matter that I’ll never be top on any set.
I doubt that the new owners would eliminate this board. The cost is relatively small and the gains are quite large for a number of reasons. They would lose a lot of good will doing so if they didn’t have a better replacement waiting in the wings.

I enjoy this message board, and I certainly enjoy the Registry. Yes, the whales occupy the top spots, but that doesn't mean that you can't compete with others, and it is incredible to see the tops sets/Trueviews, for reference, study, and drooling purposes. All in all, I think PCGS has done a great job.
Both are more than fine.
