Ebay new return policy

Any thoughts on the new 3 day only sports card return policy eBay has..

I’ve personally had a few big dollar cards that came back altered/trimmed from psa that I’ve opened a return case on for a refund.

Buying raw is gonna be a big gamble now.

So is the old return process still in place if you bought it june 30th? Do you still have 30 days or just 3 now?

If I were you, I'd be measuring your purchases before you send them to PSA.

You still have 6 months of protection if using paypal for payment.

This isn't going to go over good for Ebay or collectors. My Guess.... Will be witnessing live trials of card fraud, more dishonesty, Ebay being sued, sellers being sued. I don't like it. Yes the system wasn't perfect before, but now I'd hate to be a seller on sports cards. Now.... Anything can happen. Watch what I say..... It's not the right move.

we went over this is in another thread but in addition to the above, the statutes of limitations and your return window for fraud or deception start once you find out youve been defrauded. not the date it was purchased. check your local states position but a majority of them bide by this to protect its residents. so even if a year goes by and psa finally rejects your 74t fair hooker rc as being trimmed, you can still file with your banking institution so long as you declare “fraud” with the proper dated documentation.

Probably in most cases, it wont matter anyway considering it takes 8-14 months now to get your cards back. Unless you're forking out high dollar services.

I rarely buy raw on eBay, so I don't know this, but are most cards warranted against trimming? I mean I agree about the statute of limitations re counterfeits, but not sure about trimming or other alterations.

Isn't this why we all came over here?

Makes Sense Blurry. But Soo many companies are involved in one transaction. Lol, like the world is watching. They have to make a simpler solution for card people. Too many hands in the basket if you ask me. But you are correct.

You've got DOUBLE protection if you backed that paypal funding with a credit card.

I hope this come out correctly and understood what I mean here..... If we would all educate ourselves on how to detect trimming and learn to measure any suspect cards, wouldn't that be enough? I have PSA graded cards, but I don't have to have their grade or approval on every card I own. If it's graded then great. If it's not graded, and if it is a valuable card, then I check myself to make sure it hasn't been trimmed. PSA graders are not the only people that can tell when something isn't right.

That's fine for those collectors who prefer or collect raw cards. But you won't get near market value for a raw card based on your opinion, though.

    Agree with that 100%
