We have him stop into our Morgan dollar class at the Summer Seminar and talk to the class for a while and sign Red Books and grading guides. He definitely has lots of stories to tell.

He has gone to the Summer Seminars, and talked to attendees in various classes, for many years.

Yes, he is one of the best. I recommend chatting with him at the ANA if you get a chance. He usually does a signing event at the Whitman table.

Met him at the ANA HQ after the WFoM. Very nice and knowledgeable.
Autographed a Red Book for me.
I know him well.

I took his class at Summer Seminar and have seen him at a few shows since. Super personable guy and I’ve enjoyed all our interactions.
He spoke at a Summer Seminar that I attended many years ago. I still remember his essay on Rai stones. My main take-aways were his clever sense of humor and his enthusiasm for numismatics. Wish all my university professors were cut from similar cloth.
I'm proud to say that Ken is a friend of mine. He once asked me to write a foreword for one of his books. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I had a book come out early this year and he graciously returned the favor. We have taught classes together. He is a real gentleman. I learn something new every time we converse.
I've met him many times in Colorado Springs. Very personable guy.
I have met him several times at shows and at Summer Seminar. He is a great man. At my first ANA show I got the opportunity to sit with Ken and Dave Bowers while they signed books. I still have his book Milestone Coins that he signed and gave to me at that show.

One of THE BEST people to speak with, in or out of numismatics.
Have had many enjoyable conversations with him. The first though could have been my last if he wasn’t soooooooo gracious.
As a young man I marched up to him at an ANA and complained about the capped bust half dollar section of the Redbook. I mentioned how the large cents received a lot of “love” but the halves with similar characteristics were ignored. Ken responded that if I put together a proposal he would look it over. I copied the large cent pages from my latest Redbook and then gave examples of similar CBH’s that I would include. Ken responded and agreed to list many of my selections. He also asked me to participate in the yearly pricing updates and that is how I became a Redbook contributor. A job I cherish to this day.
Thanks Ken!
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

Sounds like he is a true gentleman

Did he pass away? Or is this post just poorly worded? I am shocked if the former is true.
I never really got to know him personally, but took his class with Bill and Rod Gillis in the 2020 NMS Grading seminar. He tended to be on the more conservative side of grading. Had some good conversations with him about world coins and some US coins I brought with me at the time.
Then again very sad to hear about his passing if it is true. Definitely one of the greatest numismatic authors.

Ken is fine. Saw him at a coin club meeting in June. Will see him at the ANA in Chicago.
I've served on a board with him - he's a great person.
I met him at a Baltimore show maybe 3 years ago.
I won a Red Book. Had him sign it.
A truly nice gentleman.
I personally believe the last two people on Earth will be Ken Bressett & Betty White.
I have met with Ken many times.
He usually attends the ANA shows, and has many stories to tell.
He strongly encouraged me to write the " A Guide Book of THE OFFICIAL RED BOOK OF UNITED DTATES COINS", a reference on collecting the Red Books and varieties.
We had many discussions about the books, and varieties and he helped me with my research.
He is one of the nicest people in the business.
His story about his meeting with R S Yeoman is great.
Also, he recently wrote a book about Yeoman, I am waiting for my copy now.

Yes he signed my red book many years ago..
You rarely see Ken without a twinkle in his eye. He's living history, institutional memory, a great story teller and very down-to-earth. Co-taught with him in Colorado Springs.
He once asked me to dance
I told him he was 4th in line and he sulked off
. This part of a Summer Seminar story in which I was exposed to great ridicule not just at Coin Camp, but yet again on Facebook
If you catch me at ANA, I'll try to hunt him up and relate it more fully
His story about he and Walter Childs inspecting the Sultan's 1804 $1 is beyond hilarious.

It was unencapsulated when this happened, but no lady was involved in this story. It's Ken's story and if you repeated it, he'd be fine. It's delicious. I'd rather you or he tell it than fracture it myself in retelling it clumsily.
You're not talking about when I handed my nine-year-old daughter the raw Garrett 1804 $1 and dropped it on the (luckily carpeted) floor at Stacks? Tony Terranova could verify. I think @Floridafacelifter will get a kick out of that.

Indeed. He's told that one to our class a few times.
