It may relate to Hadrian's travels through the Roman Empire. What is the wording on the sail? If real, and I am no expert, it appears to be a sestertius. The depiction of the ship on the reverse is a plus to me.
I'm far from an expert but the font on the obverse lettering doesn't look like what I'm used to seeing.
It's not a genuine ancient Roman coin. What we have here is a "Paduan", a medallion made to look like what a Renaissance artist thought an ancient Roman coin ought to look like.
"Genuine" Paduans, that actually date from the Renaissance, are valuable 500 year old historical artifacts in their own right; here's an example of one that went unsold at a 2017 auction, asking price 250 Swiss francs:

Unfortunately, with the very rough copy-of-a-copy casting effect I'm seeing on the OP's piece, I'm afraid this one is likely a more modern replica. But you'd really need to get an expert in Paduans to have a look at it to verify.
Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, "Meditations"
Apparently I have been awarded one DPOTD.
I just learned something new. Excellent thread!
