There is a 9 ending soon at Goldin at 92k. Not sure which auction you are referring to but if there is an auction at 650k its BS.
Remember me and three friends could bid a 1990 common up to 10k. So much BS going in with auctions and pricing hard to believe what the market really is for high profile cards.
It's not an auction. It's a buy it now price. A seller can ask anything for their stuff, doesn't mean it's gonna sell for that price.
