Good to see Dave (@superpsychmd), Bill (@Bailathacl), and Ken (@jfoot13).

Dealer to dealer sales were strong. Collector traffic was dead slow. Saw quite a few Scouts trying earn their collector badges on Saturday.

Wow what happened to all the collectors?

I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

I would wager many have learned how to buy online since Covid forced them to and realize they have more to spend on coins that way.

Dealer to Dealer sales were exceptional at this show, my guess is many dealers were trying to bolster inventory in preparation for summer FUN and ANA. There are still a decent number of dealers who source most of their inventory at shows or in auctions, and with auction prices being so high lately, many seemed to have seen this show as a good chance to stock up.

Gene is correct that the collector traffic was much quieter than usual for this show, but I think this could mostly be attributed to the fact that Manchester is typically a twice a year show (Fall and Spring) and that many casual collectors would have been unaware of the additional show that was added.

Was great to see Bill, Dave and Ken at the show, one of the things I enjoy most about coin shows is the great chats you get to have with your fellow collectors and dealers!

I made it to the show and tried to say to a few people. I was there with my two kids, many of the dealers were very kind to them, gave them free elongated pennies and other inexpensive items that are great treasures to little kids. Hopefully as the little ones grow, the collecting bug will too!

I agree that collector traffic seemed low, but the dealers I spoke with seemed to be enjoying it. For me, this was my first post-COVID show.

It was great seeing Gene, Justin and Nap at the show. I hope that all of them look me up if/when they visit NYC. It was a good show for me and great to get my mind away from work for a few days.
