Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
So wait, they submitted every card of value from that one box and they are shocked they didn't get all 9's and 10's? The air of entitlement is stifling with that pair. Never would I expect to open a box of pre 90 anything and expect all 9's and 10's. It seems like they didn't hold anything back, they just submitted it all....that's just dumb...isn't that what is driving this massive spike in "harsh" grades, people submitting everything under the sun and praying for 9's and 10's?
without wasting my time opening and watching this video.......can I assume that 'Jump' by Kriss Kross was playing in the background while he was opening the packs?
If you believe in the dramatic recent tightness in grading
1) that's one way to slow down submissions to get caught up
2) thats one way to depress the market on older high graded cards
3) that's one way to stall the unopened market since rippers in theory won't be a rippin

I got the impression they were not expecting any 10’s hoping for a few 9’s. I think they got 2? I think they proved their point, if you break wax this old chances of getting 10’s are almost non-existent. 9’s only slightly better. Some of their 8’s looked 9’ish fir sure.
i liked the part where they couldnt stop grinning w stupidity while admitting they bought the box for $3k and before they even got their sub back the box had shot up to anywhere from $12-$17k.
after grading, they are probably near the $5k mark and lucky to recoup $3500.
These results were pretty much in line with what to expect with a single wax box. I don't open 75 mini wax packs anymore but back when I did I'd sometimes go 2-3 packs before finding a centered, mint card to submit.
On the bright side, they had fun breaking the box (sometimes this hobby is just meant to be enjoyed without always looking at things from a ROI aspect) and the number of additional views on their You Tube channel as a result of these videos may put a few more bucks in their pockets.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

Indeed. eBay sponsors them. That was a profitable segment regardless for them I'm sure

at the very least they had fun and it provided content. perhaps even a blue print for newbs on what NOT to do.
however, if someone wants to rip a box and grade every card outta it, then they should. 99% of most folks wouldnt. but in the end, we all have our kinks and ways of collecting that make zero sense to other collectors.

Tough centering, tougher grading.

Also don’t watch this YouTube clown’s videos. You will sleep better at night.
Of course the guy makes a big deal about chewing the gum at the end. I am really starting to hate this hobby.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.

i propose they redo that entire vid and chew on a fistful of benjamins after every card
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
The rip and results were pretty standard. Cool they posted this.

That set is known for centering issues. What's the shock? Some people think fresh from a pack means a 9 or 10.......it doesn't and never will.
Box was a win if they bought it 4 years ago and opened it today.
