I know it's very hard to tell but I think this is a small motto. You can barely see the D in God. I know it's a stretch though.

Looks like it.
Your coin has a repunched date. Notice how thick the base of the 1 is. I don't believe any of the dies used to strike 1864 Small Motto 2c pieces had a repunched date of that magnitude.
From what I can see on the ribbon it doesn't look like the small motto to me. D is too narrow and tall.

It is the large motto, for sure.
Here's one to compare: NGC MS 64 Bn
On worn specimens, you can use the top leaf length under IN GOD to attribute Small vs. Large Motto.
It's clear the original coin is a Large Motto - the top leaf is short, not long.
