I have a Jimmy Brown 1958 Rookie that looks good! Question is what service level do I send to PSA? Do I pay for Premium 1, 2 or 3? What if it grades lower and I just paid the high dollar Premium price, would I get my money back? I'm tight on money and don't know what to do. Thanks

Pictures would help us determine based on condition.
It’s already in a psa holder
So what grade is your card? Are you wanting to regrade it or something?

Always go with C if you do not know.
Jk but you should probably ask 1 year from now unless you want to go with the only option and that is just 1.
300.00 or nothing.
Only 1 option for grading right now.
Correction you have 2 options 300.00 or 600.00
So it is completely up to you now.
it does look good, like a psa 2.5-3 due to the wrinkles, edges and corners. what is the current grade? Why are you looking to get it regraded?
Maybe it's graded authentic....
My guess is the OP thinks it's undergraded and this is his opportunity to cash in. Please give us more information. If you are thinking it may grade higher, we can give you many many opinions and be quite accurate with it.

Yes, It came back as a PSA 4, I sent it under the service level super express for $300 (max value 5000), which I did good guessing the value. But my question is what would happen if I believed the card value was say 50K and paid for a Premium service level for for a couple thousand dollars. Would I get my money back for choosing the wrong service level as the card came back as a psa 4 and only worth 2K. There is a big difference between paying $300 and 2K service level cost.
No, no money coming back. PSA will upcharge in cases where the card is grossly over the value it was submitted at, but will never down charge and refund (at least not that anyone on this board has reported).
Jim
IMO you are really paying for the turn time. If you have the time send it in for the lowest-ish cost like regular or economy when available as you will never receive a credit or refund for lower and they will upcharge if grossly undervalued once graded. This car being a 4 is a strong grade given the card. The great eye appeal is probably the reason for the strong grade.
I don't think you are going to get a higher grade. The focus and corners and the fact that this is the most popular card with highest resale value at this moment. They are grading Browns super , super tough. Ck the thread of a few weeks ago and see the best looking Brown I have ever seen pulled from a pack and sent to PSA at the highest level and it received a 8. You may get a 4.5 for centering, so if you do send it in, send in at the 300 level and let them call you for more money. Burghman and Oaksy25 are correct. You will never get money back from PSA.
PSA 4 looks accurate to me, I would not resubmit.

With the crease I feel the grade is as high as it could have been. In my opinion it's a 4 with nice 6 level eye appeal .
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
You should be happy with a “4” on that card.
That would be a good candidate to get Mr. Brown to sign. With it's good centering, etc...

agreeing w this. 4.5 tops but even then is it worth the risk of coming back a 3 in todays world and/or the $400 in sub and shipping fees for a best case scenario half grade bump?
being a key hof rc, and a nice one at that, id leave as is.
