W mint quarters and the pandemic

I really enjoyed searching for the 'W' mint quarters- until the pandemic hit. I have saved a few rolls of each NP along the way. I had never really done CRH before but had luck finding all of the 2019 'W' releases. I really enjoyed the hunt and got a smile when I'd find one lol. 2020 started off fine with NP of American Samoa but I never found any Weir Farm Park, fortunately I made contact with someone in the opposite situation so all good. The only Salt River Bay rolls I could get were before the 'Ws' were released so no luck there, but I at least had rolls to keep my roll set complete. Then with the effects of the pandemic I was unable to find any Marsh Billings Rockefeller rolls, much less 'W' mint. Started having a little luck again with the Tall Grass Prairie. I'm still hoping to find some unsearched bank rolls of MBR, it's the only NP I have no rolls for (I've only found one single quarter in circulation). I've looked at rolls on ebay, but they seem unreliable as being unsearched. I also wish the USM had continued with a 'W' for the Tuskegee Airmen, maybe without the privy mark since the anniversary was over, but I think the pandemic scuttled any plans for that. What are the thoughts of new boxes of MBR still turning up?

Slim at best. The banks are not letting the boxes go now as it is too costly for them to keep purchasing replacements for them. I agree that it was a fun time going through the rolls and pulling out the good quarters. I stopped searching after the Weir and American Samoa as I was not able to find any W's anymore as the fed changed how they distributed them. I doubt if they will ever do anything like that again as banks do not like to lose money.

Depends on your location. I live in Maryland and haven't seen any new rolls of MBR since their release. Another forum member who lives in NJ has been finding MBR rolls as recently as a few weeks ago. Where are you located?

@WQuarterFreddie I live in Minnesota. It was strange usually 'D' mint here, but for a couple of the releases all I would find were 'P' mint. I had 6-8 banks that I could get 2-10 rolls from each until SRB and MBR and then nothing at any of them :'(

In 2019, mid-summer, I was I was at my bank, and they had a full new unopen box, got it, took it home and no W's after opening a few rolls, then I noticed that hey were 2018 quarters... Never even though to LOOK at the reverse... So you never know...
