#6 PCGS MS-Modern Gold Commemorative Set~SOLD

I have listed my #6 finest, 100% complete, PCGS MS-Modern Gold Commemorative set, with a rating of 69.22 for sale on Ebay. It is listed under Item #1365031680. I am selling this set so I can procede with new endevours within the relm of coin collecting. As stated in the description on Ebay, this is a very beautiful, 100% complete, (23) piece set with 7 coins grading MS70. If you check dealers prices and recent Teletrade auction's you will find I have set a very reasonable reserve of $11,499.00 for this collection. I just checked results of the last Teletrade sales for the MS70's in this set, and the MS70's alone have sold for $7,300.00. Then you have the MS69 2000W Library of Congress $10 bi-metallic, the MS69 1997W Jackie Robinson, the MS69 1996W Smithsonian, the MS69 1995W Civil War and the 3 remaining, low mintage MS69 1995-96W Atlanta Olympic coins. After purchacing these coins seperately you basically have the other 9 COINS at NO ADDITIONAL cost at the RESERVE. I am now posting pictures of featured coins from the set on my web page. More pictures will be added as the week progresses. The 7 coins grading MS70 are as follows, 1986 Statue of Liberty, 1987 Constitution, 1988 Olympic, 1992 Olympic, 1992 Columbus, 1995 Olympic Torch and a 2001 Capitol Visitor Center.

    • 1-1/2 hours left in this auction. If the set doesn't reach it's reserve I will sell the coins individually. Even though there are many fine collectors waiting to snap several of these coins up, I really hate to do this, being how much of an effort I made over the last 7 years cherrypicking these coins for beauty and being PQ for the grade. With so many collections being assembled from dealer stock, without any consideration other than the slab's grade, it would be wonderful to have a complete set of this caliber. If it doesn't sell intact I will contact those of interest shortly afterwards. Thank's to all. image

    • I know this is going to disappoint many of you that were looking for individual coins from my gold commemorative set, but right after the auction ended a fellow collector made me a very generous offer to buy the complete set. He wants to keep the set intact within the PCGS registry. This is the way I really wanted to sell the set. I put years of effort into assembling this collection, and to have it stay in the registry as such is more than I could ask for. Now I can start grading my modern silver dollar set. Alway's something new to keep me occupied! imageimage
