A-Rod betrayed - Bennifer is back on!
My wife just informed me of some very shocking news, Alex Rodriguez has been betrayed by Jennifer Lopez! Yes, Jennifer Lopez has left Alex and run off with Ben Affleck. Yes, Bennifer is back on! After Jennifer and Ben were spotted in Montana on a romantic getaway, A-Rod was asked about it and had a unique reply.
Alex Rodriguez's Cheeky Response to J Lo and Ben Affleck's Reunion Speaks Volumes
Alex Rodriguez played it coy when he was asked about how he feels about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's reunion. In a video obtained by Page Six, a photographer is heard asking the former Yankees player to share his thoughts while he was out and about in Miami on Tuesday, but Alex ended up avoiding the question altogether. Instead of moving on like most people would, the photog then rephrased his question and asked, "Did you know they were in Montana together?" referencing the pair's recent getaway. Alex once again ignored the question and quipped, "Go Yankees!"
At first, one would assume that Alex was simply just cheering on his former team. However, those who know Ben know that he's a huge Boston Red Sox fan, and the Red Sox just so happen to be huge rivals of the Yankees. In fact, Ben is such a loyal Red Sox fan that he once refused to wear a Yankees cap for a film, so Alex's comment was clearly more than just a shoutout to his favorite team.
Alex and Jennifer were together for four years before they split in April. Jennifer was reportedly the one who called things off because she had not been happy for a while. Even so, it seems Alex is still holding out hope for a reconcilation between them. "Alex was jealous that Jen and Ben were seeing each other," a source recently told Us Weekly. The status of Ben and Jennifer's current relationship is still unclear, but they have been spending quite a lot of time together.

Photos of Bennifer in Montana.
This isn't supposed to happen, A-rod and J-lo belong together. What am I going to do if they break up for good? We all have so many great memories together, like the time they swapped clothes.
Tom Brady leaving Gisele for Jennifer would have been a much more interesting story.
I'm sorry Steve but I'm too devastated right now to respond. If anyone needs me, I'll be eating ice cream and crying!
I realize it hurts. But i think Alex will find another.
The best that money can buy. LOL
Arod just became the new owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

I can't be reasoned with, I'm too upset!
At least J-Lo isn't still with Marc Anthony, that Steve Buscemi wannabe. Can you tell me which one is Marc Anthony and which one is Steve Buscemi? I doubt it!
One is the real Steve Buscemi and one is an imposter!
I can't tell the difference, but i think one of them got whacked in the Sopranos.
It wasn't pretty.
I thought Cleopatra was with Mark Anthony?
Totally approve 😂😂😂
You know what you're doing, you're making me want to to start a Sopranos discussion thread, there's some unanswered questions concerning the ending to that show. Don't think I won't do it!
There are no unanswered questions. Tony got whacked. End of story.
The man on fire made one of them fall on his sword.
Did he Steve? We never saw Tony get whacked, the man who was stalking Tony could have been an honest man, who accidentally bumped into Tony's vehicle outside the diner, but didn't know how to approach Tony about it. 🤔
The sudden black screen was an illustration for Tony's death.
The hit on Tony made perfect sense within the framework of the story. Particularly when Phil got hit in front of his wife and grandkids. Normally mafia guys don't whack other mafia guys in front of their wives or family.
Tony getting whacked sitting with his family at the diner, made perfect sense as revenge for the way Phil got hit.
Yes, but they should have shown it to us, I was very disappointed after watching that last episode. I actually hated Tony and wanted to see him get it, especially after what he did to Christopher when they got into that accident!
You're right, but Tony had given Christopher a number of stern warnings about his drug use, including an intervention, and what could happen if he didn't stop using drugs. Christopher didn't fully listen to Tony which to a mob boss is a sign of disrespect, and Christopher paid the ultimate price for that disrespect at the scene of the accident.
And after that, Tony invited Christopher's wife over to his home for dinner and sat there at the dinner table like nothing happened. Tony was a snake, and I wanted to see him get it on that last episode. I was very disappointed in David Chase for not allowing me to bask in the glory of seeing Tony get it!
Most fans weren't too happy with the ending.
I agree with ya. As none of the murders throughout the series were abstract in any way. They were all shown in gruesome detail. So why not Tony's murder shown the same way?
My opinion is the producers of course wanted to close the show. But a part of them thought that maybe after some time off, perhaps a few years, they would be refreshed. Then perhaps a lucrative offer would send them back to the drawing board to write new scripts, and film additional episodes.
So while i feel there was a certainty to the ending, i think the producers did the ending that way so that they could possibly in the future continue the show with Gandolfini because of course he was by far the feature attraction. Gandolfini was born to play that role.
Yes, Gandolfini was absolutely brilliant in that role, when I originally watched the ending, I also suspected they were leaving it open to a possible continuation of the story years later. Of course, with Gandolfini passing away, there's no way it can continue now. The Sopranos was by far the best show on TV during it's run.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't think Jennifer Lopez deserves time in a Double D thread. But I would support a Sopranos thread.
I realize Jennifer Lopez is a celebrity and all that. For songs, movies, or whatever.
But sorry to say I couldn't name a single song she has sung, or a single movie she has been in, or frankly anything worthwhile she has ever done other than dating other celebrities.
I agree. Jennifer Lopez is far beneath the usual expected high quality of a DD thread.
Hopefully DD isn't getting too old and losing his touch.
Reading this thread makes me grateful I never watched the Sopranos.
In my opinion, it was a tremendous show.
That reminds me of my Sisters' favorite show being Breaking Bad.
She's fairly religious, goes to church every Sunday, I'm like, why do you
like watching a show about drugs and murder? All she says is well its a good show.
I just don't like shows where the main characters are the bad guys and not the good guys.
Grew up watching John Wayne, guess I never adjusted. I thought we were still supposed to
root for the good guys.
Not too long ago, I grew a little mini beard, and noticed one of the hairs was grey. I wonder if that has something to do with this J-Lo thread? 🤔
They say J- loser won't talk to service industry workers.
While on a plane the attendant asked what she wanted to drink, she turned to her assistant and
said tell him I would like a diet coke. And I read this on the internet so it has to be true.
Aside from my having heard the name "J lo" I had no idea who she is. Until now. Why did I read this thread? 😵
Because it's a DoubleD thread!!!!!
Oh my god!
was he whacked though? the fade to black would make it seem that way.
however, the music indicates something completely different.
after all, credits always roll on a black screen! 😉
“dont stop believing”
They are usually epic 😂😂😂
The producers of course can do it any which way they wish. However in the context of the story and equating it to real life, there is no conceivable way that the New York mob would have allowed Tony to live after hitting a New York boss, whether it was sanctioned or not.
Some interesting Youtube videos are of former high ranking New York mafia captain Michael Franzese. When asked by the interviewer if the Sopranos segments about Tony and the psychiatrist were based in reality, Franzese quickly replied (paraphrase), "No, if it was real, the mob would have whacked Tony and probably taken the psychiatrist with him."
So at least some, and according to Franzese a lot, of the Sopranos stories weren't like the real life mafia. That being said, i think at least with the ending, the producers got it right. In a real life mob situation, Tony was gonna get hit after whacking Phil, only a question of when.
This is true, the mob doesn't tolerate whacking a boss, you just don't do it. Back in the 80s, when John Gotti had Paul Castellano killed in front of Sparks steakhouse, Gotti was lucky to have gotten away with that. Vincent "the chin" Gigante, the boss of the Genovese family, did try to have Gotti killed in retaliation for the Castellano hit, but Gotti was lucky and they never did get him. They tried but never did get him.
As you might have guessed, I have read a ton of mob books over the years, from the five families in New York City, to the Chicago outfit, to the Philidelphia mob and Nicky Scarfo, I've covered the underworld pretty good.
Inter-family whacking of a mafia boss is sometimes acceptable. But Lucky L basically set it up in the US whereby crime bosses aren't allowed to whack one another, and for the most part it has stayed that way to keep the peace.
"oh the movie never ends, it goes on & on & on"
tony's alive. the hit wasn't a success. don't stop believin!
Little Nicky was brutal, even for a mafia boss. I'm not going to mention the name, but i used to do some business with his company in Atlantic City. I suspected it was his business for various reasons, but never knew for sure until I read about it many years later.
Actually, the company always paid their bills on time and never any problems.
I'm not saying the Sopranos will never be back. The only limitation is the screenwriter's imagination and of course proper funding for the project.
Yes, Scarfo was a vicious man, and I wouldn't want to be a member of that family during his reign, he wouldn't hesitate to kill you if you rubbed him the wrong way. I read "Blood and Honor" Nick Caramandi's story, he spent a lot of time with Scarfo, and knew him very well, and it pretty much shows you how paranoid and crazy Scarfo really was. Once he wanted you dead, there was no reasoning with him and Scarfo eventually turned on Caramandi and was going to kill him. Very good book, highly recommended!
The Philly media covers these stories about mob hits like moths to a flame. LOL
