Coin I own is in another person’s registry

I am thinking of starting a Seated Dollar registry set. I checked all the cert numbers with the pcgs cert verification and one of them came up as being in another person’s collection. What is the quickest way to get it removed from the previous owner’s registry?

I can think of two options to have it done, but don't know if either is "quickest".

First, you might send a message or email to the person who has the coin already registered and explain that you now own it and ask them to release the cert number. Additionally, you can attempt to add the cert number to your own inventory and then contact PCGS when you are blocked.

If the other person receives your message quickly then the coin might be removed very soon, but if PCGS has to get involved then it may take the better part of a week.

The PCGS-involved option will occur 3 business days AFTER the Removal Request is submitted

So it being Monday...You should do the Removal Request asap to avoid getting into next week

Not in this case. Both coins are both CAC approved as well. The coin has been removed. Have one more I was going to need removed but ended up selling it. Thanks for the post

I had that happen to me before. The one I bought it from just failed to remove it. Did so quickly when he found out.

I received an email saying someone had my coin and I should remove it. I photographed both sides of the slab and emailed them back.

I received a reply that the person entered the Cert number incorrectly.
