I'm KIDDING of course. But he is currently batting .400 to start the season (30 for 75). Seriously, I do think he's headed for the HOF. Any thoughts?

I see Posey in a group with Simmons, Munson, Freehan, Posada, and, yes, Tenace. Not done enough to get in via the writers, but considerably better than the average player considered by the various committees. Of course unlike those others, Posey has a chance to build his case.
I am not surprised at all by his start. His hitting and catching mechanics are textbook. If his confidence, preparation, and health continue, he is easy hall of fame material.
I just love the kid. He reminds me of Will Clark in how he approaches the game. If he were a Yankee he’d be a legend already.
"I just love the kid." Yep, it's kinda hard not to. He seems like a very decent and likeable guy -- a great teammate -- one who makes his teammates better (especially pitchers).
