SGC vs BGS Minimum Size Requirement

I’m new to this site and just recently got back into card collecting for the first time since I was a teenager (almost 30 years ago). I recently had an 86 Fleer Jordan sticker come back from SGC as “too small to holder” By my measurement, it is about 1/32 of an inch short of 3.5 inches tall. Does anyone have experience with a similar situation? Anyone think it is worth trying to resubmit to SGC? What about submitting to BGS? Does anyone know if they are a little more lax about size and whether my card might get graded?

came to a PSA website to ask about BGS/SGC stuff?

either way, from my experience, all TPG's have become very strict on the sizing requirements of their cards. I have not been able to ascertain an exact sizing tolerance from any grading company, but I would imagine...for the most part, its about a millimeter or two.

you could always try resubmitting again and seeing what happens. ive had a previously holdered BGS 9.5 card that was cracked, rejected by PSA a number of times for size and sent back to BGS for regrading and getting rejected by them also for minsize. kinda funny, kinda sad.

just keep sending it...more often than not it ultimately ends up holdered. If you reach a half dozen attempts without sucess, that's a good time to stop and just accept it for being a shorty
