I spend a fair amount of time here on the forum and this caught me by surprise - - when did this start??
Is it for all sellers or is there a dollar/sales volume threshold??

I think it's just part of the new managed payments reporting, shows the sales tax they have collected on sales that I have made. My first one showed up this month.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
I can't imagine why I would care how much my state will be able to squander because of my sales.
Can anyone explain to me how eBay is collecting sales tax from foreign sellers? Why am I being charged sales tax for a coin coming from the UK or Italy? It seems like an total scam by ebay doing this.
Shows a lot more than that - sales price, final value fee, fee on shipping, sales tax, etc.
I have no problem with it as I report all sales, but it will require me to revise my spreadsheet that more closely resembles what Ebay is reporting.
I take fiendish pleasure in reporting all the details to the IRS especially on transactions that amount to nothing.
Sales tax is collected based on the state where you reside, not the location of the seller.
Google South Dakota vs. Wayfair if you want to know why.

Yes. You are paying the sales tax to eBay and we are all hoping ebay remits the sales tax paid to the state of residence.
From what I got, this has NOTHING to do with sales tax!!!!!
Talk to your state.
I'm not sure why you think eBay collecting sales tax and paying it to your state benefits them in any way.
It is quite simply illegal for a business to charge sales tax if sales tax is not owed. eBay has had some implementation problems, but they are being forced to collect and remit taxes not choosing to do so.
It's just a monthly sales summary. It's actually nice and clean as to the numbers. I've been getting it ever since I switched to managed payments.
