Here’s some of the cards from better pics
Looks like a fun pickup. Enjoy !
Collecting:
post world war II HOF rookie
76 topps gem mint 10 commons 9 stars
Arenado purple refractors(Rockies) Red (Cardinals)
successful deals with Keevan, Grote15, 1954, mbogoman
I'd say: you did very well
That's quite an eclectic mix with the '59T Ozark Ike, the OPC Mattingly rookie and even a Burger King Rich Gossage in there. Enjoy!
The OPC Mattingly looks solid, best card of the bunch.
Thank you . It will be fun to go through them all . This is how the mystery collection set up on eBay by the seller :
thank you am still going through the cards and shall post more photos later.. I paid about $130 for the collection on ebay .
There is no "mystery" to the seller with these type of lots.
But whatever is the actual value, it sure seems like $130 worth of fun.
thanks its lots fun going through it will take me a few days to organize it all properly.. am curious about one card though the ( topps original Dennis ribant ) were they cards topps put in from their archives as its an original card from the 60's but stamped 2015 on the front ? .
In general, Topps has "foil stamped" original cards referred to as "buy backs."
E.g. in the 2020 Topps Heritage set, since it was the 1971 design, they included as packaged box toppers in the hobby boxes, 1971 Topps original cards - foiled stamped 50th anniversary.
Thanx for sharing Jeremy.
How can ya go wrong in terms of entertainment value for a few pennies a card?
ah thanks ive never seen one before . and yes am having a great time going through all these cards .. just finished opening the 1990 fleer box packs , and the rackpacks .
thank you for sharing. that looks like a fun mystery to go through. the kind of stuff I enjoy doing on the weekend!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Glad you like. Here’s a few more that I found in the box. There’s more from 1971 but not overly best condition.
This is a great way for the seller to get rid of cards that you really couldn't sell individually, but you wouldn't want to throw away either.

I’ve bought from him before and being on a govt. medical pension it’s a good way for me to get a nice collection within my price range.
Here’s a few more I pulled today from the boxes.
That’s all the vintage from the box and a couple modern. Most of the rest of the box are early 90’s - 2020.
What's up with the (3) 1982 Donruss Fred Lynn's? All three seem to have different color registry. Is this common for '82 Donruss?

I have no idea what’s up with them . Maybe donruss qc. I also thought maybe how I took the pictures so took them out of the sleeve and it’s still the same.
If any wish to see any of the rest of the cards please let me know and ill post more pics .
Found more slightly vintage in the box and some more modern. Still have much left unphotograhed in the box.
This is what is still not photographed from the boxes.
