So are or have any sellers adapted to Ebays payment methods?

**Have any of you provided your acct info to adapt to the new seller payment rules? ** I'm just curious before I start giving them all my info. Thanks!
Your payments are changing, are you ready?*
eBay now manages the end-to-end selling experience, including payments.
This means:
•
You get paid directly to your bank account, not your PayPal account, regardless of how the buyer chooses to pay. We will initiate payouts within two business days of payment confirmation.
•
You get paid directly to your bank account, not your PayPal account, regardless of how the buyer chooses to pay. No more PayPal payments processing fees or separate monthly fee payments!
•
Most sellers will pay the same or less than before**

Did it 6 weeks ago. Love it.
Paypal had my account info. I'm not sure why anyone cares if managed payments does. Aidan has been a payment processor for years.
I am not a seller on eBay except for a few random things now and again, I've sold two coins this past month without being forced to convert over yet. I have a few more clutter items listed so its possible that eBay will want me to change soon, not a big deal either way in my situation.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Sure of course. Two months ago. No issues so far and fees are a bit lower with eBay managing everything. Overall, there are some minor pros and cons to both ways but it doesn't make much of a difference in my opinion.
it is a bit easier as now you don't have to worry about paying final value fees or paypal fees, it is taken out right away, and the money is in your checking account within 3 days. you will save some time
Been on it a couple months now with a dedicated account. No problems.
switched out most accounts.
it works but i'm not a fan. paypal worked VERY well for 10+ years.
now half of the transaction process is with ebay, the other half with paypal. the accounts isn't as clean because of this. ebay provides statements but isn't as clean as the wonderful pp xls.
whatcha gonna do. roll with the punches or get left behind.
i'm amazed others say fees are lower. they seem higher to me. (no store anymore) my main acct is top seller now about to bump to the next tier, so i'll save a bit.
for the service they offer, it is tough to beat all-around.
as others have said, pp and really ebay both have had our info this whole time. i was required to either add a bank or cc for a backup payment method.
people should just accept the switch, get used to the changes and move on with life or slowly change to another site. i really don't see a legitimate reason to just outright stop. that seems like just shooting yourself in the foot for the sake of not adapting to change. (if there are some that have switched from ebay totally and moved to a diff site, please share your success stories and some business details)
Not fond of changes and this one is not exciting. I like my paypal account - money in, money out on sales and purchases.
The checking account is a joint account and we still get a paper statement. I'll leave it at that.
As a small collector who's bought and sold on ebay for years, I don't like it. My paypal account is pretty much part of my hobby money, easy to keep track of and access. Merging it with the household account won't be as convenient. Oh well.
I still use paypal for buying. Not sure what to use when selling as I rarely sell.
This. I flip variety cherrypicks and use the money to fund my other hobbies and maybe sell 150 - 200 coins in a good year. I use Paypal for that and PayPal credit has enabled me to get some things I couldn't have afforded otherwise, and having the funds in the PP account makes it easy for me to quickly pay that off. I did register for Managed Payments about 10 days ago but they have not been activated by eBay yet. I setup a new checking account specifically for this, and will be transferring money from there into my PayPal account. It's extra steps but I do like the idea that what's deposited is less the eBay fees, so I know right away exactly how much I've made on each sale.
You can create a second "hobby" checking account. You don't need paypal at all. Or link paypal and eBay both to you hobby checking account.
Methinks people just want to hate the idea.
From a buyer perspective, there is no change. Pay with PayPal.
From a seller perspective, it's significantly cheaper.
Yes, I sell enough on eBay that I had to jump over. No regrets so far.
Aercus Numismatics - Certified coins for sale
So far so good.
I'm not 100% certain, but payment from the buyers seem to be much , much faster from a manage account. Before, I would have to wait to be paid from the buyer's PayPal account. Sometimes this extra step takes a few days.
Thanks for the responses. I don't sell much but the reason I did like money going to PP was If I sold something, I kept the money in paypal in case I needed to refund something. I always left the money in paypal for that reason and paying any ebay seller fees also. Was easier to monitor profits and/or losses. Oh well, gotta change I guess or no more selling. Lol

I opened a new checking account today for eBay with checks & debit card that I will only use for eBay. I plan to do all my buying and selling of coins through this account as I can keep better records. It appears that the only way to get eBay off a checking account once eBay has access to the account is to close the account. If thing go south with eBay, then, I can just close the eBay checking account.
Actually < I have been fine with it, makes deposits weekly with no issues. I really haven't seen much of a savings, but it is easier.
Only thing I did not like, is I had a return coming back for like 200 bucks. I was hoping it would arrive monday knowing the ebay balance transfers to the bank on tuesday am. Well, return didn't come in, so transfer was made as normal, then the next day I went to refund and instead of ebay waiting for like 1500 bucks coming in later from sales(by showing as a negative for a few hours at most), it immeadiately drafts back the refund amount from the bank account. I dont really like that 2 way accessibility.
The other thing that was a pain in the arse for a month or so, but they finally seem to fix it. It was hard to disect FVF fees vs other fee's for accounting reasons in column totals for my monthly accounting, But the new reports are now showing those separate.
I take it that was a privately agreed upon return not done through the ebay system? I had a return and ebay put a hold on the funds in my account needed to cover the return.
