  • Well who ever you are..... since I don't recognize your handle... Thank you for your post and I am happy you enjoyed your experience.

    Many thanks,
    Nick

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh - Thanks again.
  • You would be better off expressing your satisfaction in a completed transaction through PM instead of cluttering the boards.

You're such a bitter person, Bill. Why is that?

  • There is no bitterness and I am not a bitter person. All I can do now is laughimage

I have learned thru previous threads.

    DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

    "cluttering the boards"
I believe he thinks its his job to do so, lets accomidate him.

  • Bill, sorry if I made a faux pas. I have seen other posts relating to experiences in transactions good or bad. I do not want to get drawn into a p contest with anyone. I was merely stating a fact as others have done in this forum.
  • I second Russ...You Go Sponge Bob! Sure is a whole lot of posts for being a member only one month...

Thanks to both of you that wrote the "defensive" threads noting your positive experiences with teetelli. We like seeing positive things on this board from time to time...

    << <i>Bill, sorry if I made a faux pas. >>

You didn't. Board members frequently post threads praising other members for positive buying experiences.

Bill, it might help being accepted here if you could make some of your posts less personal. I don't want to drag up the old thread on your attack, but there certainly more gentlemanly ways to make your point. Being direct is ok, but there are more polished and affective ways of expressing your opinion. You might find yourself deflecting less criticism. There is nothing wrong with thanking someone for a nice transaction here. The old saying might apply here, "praise in public, criticize in private".
  • IrishMike,

Thanks for your constructive input. I am a very strongly opinionated person. As far as acceptance in the "CLUB" that has never concerned me much. I have always been able to think for myself and do not modify my opinions just to gain approval or acceptance. Outside of the Teetelli threads I do not feel I have ever attacked anyone and I also feel Teetelli was the one doing most of the attacking. I do on occasion misinterpret some members comments as do all but in every case I have been more than willing to apologize in the open forum. I do not expect everyone to agree with me, everyone is entitled to their opinions. All I have ever done is give my personal opinions and they are always given in generalities and in the spirit of debate. I do not force my opinions on anyone or condemn anyone for theirs. I mearley express them for consideration. It appears some people find difficulty in expressing why they think the way they do and find it easier to either retreat to their little click for outside support or twist the subject.

Case in point, what is TerpsRocks purpose behind criticizing the number of posts I have made? We all know mine is by no means a large number with respect to some other members. Russ has an average of 462 post a month since he has been here. pontiacinf,

<< <i>I have learned thru previous threads. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME "cluttering the boards" I believe he thinks its his job to do so, lets accommodate him. >>

That is based on what? He does not agree with my opinions? He thinks his posts are more insightful than mine? Give me a break all anyone has to do is go back and look at the content of his posts and they will see who is really cluttering the boards.

I do like to be direct and to the point and you are probably right I need to work on my approach to be a little more sensitive

    Thanks.

  • Bill,

Just wondering what you do for a living besides being a critic of everyone and everything or are you just retired and don't have a shuffle board court?

Alltec - Easy on us retirees ,or the bear will have to give you a growl of disaproval. In any event my growl is better then me having to come over to your house and gnaw on your foot. Shall we all be forgiving in nature and cheerful in attitude on this wonderful 4th of July holiday weekend. Bear

Irish Mike - You really know how to start your day right, with a bear claw. Of course in my case, I start each day with four bear claws. Its not that I am a glutton mind you, its just the way im built. Bearimage

  • Steve, there is nothing to apologize for, as some of the members so eloquently phrased it, the boards exist as a medium for exchanging opinions, thoughts, seeking opinions and the like - a true communicative forum and discussion exchange. If certain people do not approve of the particular content of a thread, then perhaps they had best be served by participating on another thread, rather than waste all out time with useless and non-productive repertoires.

By the way, I would like to thank all of you so much for making feel so welcome and at home. Beyond the message boards I have received dozens of private emails with warm welcomes and good will.

    Thank you all so much.

If possible, could we all get on with the really important issues of the day such as "WINE, WOMEN AND SONG." For my part I am willing to either whine or whimper, if someone else can handle the women and the singing. Bearimage

If all goes well the 29th of this month, I'll be able to occasionally indulge in those once again.image I hope so, the last six months of boring, bland flavorless food is wearing me out!

Good Steve and Nick. That is what the reg. boards are for. Thanks for the info. There was so much recent unnecessary/unthinking clutter regarding you Nick, it is nice to see the "real thing". (WW is already quite boring with his negativity, oops, I mean, strongly opinionated personality.) Good job!
  • Teetelli - You are quite welcome here and please join us more often. One thing I learned, even many months before I even made my 1st post, was that there are a LOT of nice people here and there is a LOT or sarcasm. There was an attempt by many to deflect the unwarranted criticism with sarcasm...including the comment you know quite well (because you wrote it) that some people just have too much time on their hands. Well you know what? Some people just don't get it...

Sometimes you have to be ultra direct with people...so let's try that approach this time...

Bill...You are annoying and you've pissed a lot of people off in the past month with your volumes of posts. Maybe others have posted more "times" but I bet there isn't a member out there that won't agree that you've BY FAR "written" the most. This isn't about Russ and the quantity of posts and we see clearly now that you just don't get it. I bet nobody would've really had a clue Russ had that many in such a short period of time because they weren't annoying and confrontational. Nice attempt at deflection though...that's exactly what children do when they've been caught doing something wrong...find somebody else to point the finger at..."Well he did it"... Yes, many of your posts are downright rude and confontational. It's one thing to "question" something and let everybody discuss it and decide, but it's entirely different to do what you did. Just look at how much time was spent defending Teetelli, who, personally had to come to these Boards in defense.

"Hide" huh? Well some "hide" because we're trying not to be rude and MOST people "get it" when just a bit of sarcasm is thrown out there...they then apologize and move on. But, you just can't let it go as was evident in your childish reponses to the 2 positive posts in response to Teetelli's transactions. The ONLY reason those 2 POSITIVE posts were made today about the Teetelli deals was because of your ATTACKS. Yes, "attacks" because that's exactly what they were.

So, you like to be direct? There's direct for you. Now go look up this word in the dictionary - TACT - it's something you severly lack.

    -----------------

Bear has furry feet and I have a Turtle Shell...so I can hide! Sorry...I don't think I'm capable of not having fun in a post even when it's this...

Russ - If you think thats bad try roots and berries every day. Sometimes I want a deli sandwich so bad that I am tempted to waddle into town to forage for a corned beef sandwich on rye with pickles. Bears like to eat that stuff you know, if we get half a chance and if no one is looking. Bearimage

Probably one of the neatest things about the silent majority, is if they have the will power and good judgement to remain silent. That would allow us all the time to think how we get back to the subject of coins and collecting. image

Nick, You should feel fortunate you ran in Bill.. otherwise you would not have gotten such a warm welcome. This crowd is usually not so generous with new members.

And by the way.. I do find Bill's insights quite interesting and helpful.

I am saving up a couple of hours to read through the threads on your deal gone south and to see what all the hoopla is.

Nick, do you deal in Washington quarters? If so, PM me.

    Thanks

Teetelli - I might be tough, but you got to admit Im a cute little creature. In any event ,welcome on board. this is not so much a Forum as an asylum. The nice thing about this asylum is that it is basically run by the inmates. So enjoy the good, the bad and the ugly, but more then anything else , enjoy the genuine warmth and affection that is to be found after you brush away all of the nonsense. Bear

  • In some kind of way this reminds of Jack Nicholson and something about a One FLew Over the Cooco's Nest ... but your right ... once you dispense with all the non-sense and unimportant rhetoric, what's left looks like it could be a lot of fun....

Along with all of that face value stuff there is a 4-wheeler in there. Too bad it isn't a 4-wheel drive. Could use it during hunting season, wouldn't have to borrow one.

This thread isn't about the registry! From my point of view, the best thing being sold is the 4-wheeler!
