most likely some form of die deterioration but it always helps to see obv/rev images.

a thread recently showed that perhaps some PMD could cause a similar look.

My vote is die deterioration.

This die is at the end of it's useful life.

Here's the strange part. These DDO's (most of them, 2019p) have these die deterioration areas, as markers for the DDO. Strange?
