Sorry guys, I've been traveling. Not able to post the trueview picture at the moment, but to start was able to land the gold fugio restrike. It was the final restrike to complete (as far as I know) Fugio restrike cents from all dies in all metals. There is one restrike not available to collectors (museum only). Really like the stars in rings feature, although it obviously was done as a novel feature since orginal fugios had no such device.
I had been chasing this set for about ten years. Tony Terranova sold me several key pieces that he bought directly out of Norweb. And between Newnan and Partrick timing,
it was possible I think perhaps for the first time for someone to put the complete set together.

Tony's remarkable. And pre-Federal coinage his passion. He likes collectors who share it. His wife Mary Ann is an avid C4 collector too.
Enjoy your posts. It's nice to have members who occasionally wander into interesting stuff

Thanks for the shout out TDN!
That gold fugio was on ebay like 20 years ago. Everyone thought it was a fake and went for like $700. I almost bought it just because. I wish I did, it was raw but looked like legit gold.

Congrats! The gold Horatio Nelson Rust piece is the one that I really wanted but held off budgetwise. Hopefully I'll be in a position to buy it if you ever sell!
If you can, try to contact NGC for the PhotoVision template photo as well. It would be great to have that with the TrueView.

That would be a major You Suck! Is the purchaser known?

Is it just me, or does that seem exceedingly cool for a $52,000 coin?
It is exceedingly cool and was at the top of my list, but some will dispute whether is a coin or not. It's a Horatio Rust reproduction along the lines of John Bolen bar cents and Dan Carr fantasy date overstrikes.
I actually like the design of the Horatio Rust pieces a bit better than the Ben Franklin originals, especially for the thinner rings.
