1955 wheat penny

I have a 1955 wheat penny it only wieghs 2.83 in great shape says it should be 3.11

    Can you post a picture? Does the color look right? Could be struck on a foreign or wrong planchet.

    That weight would be out of acceptable tolerance for the U.S. Mint.

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
